Concentrate from Uranothorianite. A student in Austria isolated about 0.5 micrograms of radium from a sample of uranothorianite (much as the Curies first did) and sealed it in this well-made glass ampule. The powder you see is mostly BaSO4: That much pure radium would be worth a fortune and would also have to be kept in a separate room well away from any living things.
