| Pen. Is this pen really made of zirconium? The only evidence in favor of this idea is that it's sold in the novelty shop of a major refiner of zirconium metal for industrial and nuclear applications. If anyone should be trusted when they say a pen is a zirconium pen, it would be Wah Chang. Still, it seems a bit hard to imagine, not to mention quite pointless. I can't imagine why it would make sense to construct a pen out of a metal as expensive and difficult to work with as zirconium, especially since none of its unique properties give it particular advantages in the pen arena.
