Worthless memory chips. This is a 512MB memory module from a Mac laptop computer. Oh, man, I remember when a kilobyte was a lot of memory! This one is worthless because if you want to upgrade a Mac laptop you typically have to replace the existing memory modules with new, larger ones. You can't just add more because there aren't any empty slots available. After upgrading, no one wants the left over smaller-capacity modules: There is a glut of them from all the other people who have upgraded too. There's something amazing about the fact that 4294967296 bits of memory is so little no one really even cares about it.
